In Brazil is possible to protect through the author’s copyright:

  • Books, brochures, booklets, missive-letters, literary texts, artistic or Scientifics;
  • Conferences, speeches, lectures and other works of the same nature;
  • Dramatic works and musical-dramatics, with or without a partitur;
  • Choreographic and pantomimic works with a writing execution or by any other way;
  • Illustrations, geographical letters and other works of the same nature;
  • Arguments and cinematographic guide-book;
  • Adaptations, musical arrangements, translations and other kind of transformations of the original work (not on the public domain) once previously authorized and present as a new intellectual creation; they are accepted to registration with the author’s expressed and specific authorization (or authors) and/or those who keep the author’s patrimonial rights (assignees);
  • Collections or compilations, like reading-books, text-books, anthologies, encyclopedias, dictionaries, journals, magazines, legal texts collection, dispatch, administrative decisions and reports, parliamentary or judicially, once through the criteria’s of selection and organization it is consider an intellectual creation;
  • Musical compositions, with or without a letter;
  • Comic strip;
  • Letters and musical partiturs;
  • Photographic works and those produced by any similar photographic process.
